COLD PLUNGE THERAPY: REDUCE INFLAMMATION AND SO MUCH MORE

Cold Plunge Benefits:

Reduce Muscle Soreness

One of the primary cold plunge benefits is its ability to significantly reduce muscle soreness and inflammation. After intense workouts, the body often experiences micro-tears in the muscles, which can lead to discomfort and delayed recovery. By immersing yourself in cold water, blood vessels constrict, minimizing inflammation and helping to flush out metabolic waste products like lactic acid. This efficient recovery process allows you to bounce back faster and tackle your next workout with renewed energy.

Enhanced Blood Circulation

Cold plunge therapy also greatly promotes improved blood circulation. The shock of cold water causes blood vessels to constrict and then expand upon exiting the plunge, encouraging better oxygenated blood flow to your muscles and tissues. Enhanced circulation delivers essential nutrients more effectively, which accelerates the healing process and invigorates your entire body.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to commonly asked questions about the blog topic.

What should I wear?
Our therapies all require something a little different so please come prepared. If you are plunging please have a swimsuit. Red Light requires the light to penetrate your skin - clothes will greatly reduce or totally stop the benefits of the therapy. Red Light sessions are in a private area. PEMF and Compression can be conducted with whatever you wear off the street.
Can I stack therapies?
Yes! Please speak to a Plunge staff member for the best advice and guidance on what to do and when. If stacked incorrectly, some therapies can potentially lose effectiveness.
Do you offer Contrast Therapy?
We do not offer Contrast Therapy at Plunge Performance and Recovery for a few reasons. However, you can go from the plunges into the sauna. Just not the sauna into the plunges.
Do you have showers?
We do not but if you are coming from the beach we have a hose to get the sand off. If you plan on using the cold plunge, please bring a bathing suit and towel. We ask that all of our clients to show up showered, clean, and ready to plunge to upkeep our high standards of cleanliness.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes! But, appointments are best to ensure your access to the services you are requesting. You can schedule an appointment at the bottom of the page or contact us by email or phone.
